Scholarship for International Students at Griffith University 2025/26 Session

Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship
The Vice Chancellor’s overseas scholarship recognizes outstanding international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs at the university. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees, and it’s open to all courses. Application starts November 30, 2024, and ends December 13, 2024.
Award Value: 50% of tuition fees.
Duration: Valid for the whole duration of the program.
Level of Study: Undergraduate And Postgraduate Coursework.

Eligibility
- Be an international student from any country (other than New Zealand or Australia)
- Possess a minimum GPA of 6.0 or higher on a 7-point scale or equivalent from prior coursework.
- Have obtained an offer to enroll at Griffith within the deadline for scholarship applications.
- Fulfil all academic and English language prerequisites for your chosen undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Start as a full-time student in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship only covers 50% of the tuition for undergraduate or graduate coursework as long as the student completes the program’s ongoing enrollment requirements.
- Students who wish to be eligible for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction must be paying international fees.
- The scholarship will be discontinued if the student’s status changes from International Fee Paying to any other one. Scholarships are competitive, and only a certain number are available.
- The Griffith International Scholarship Office will notify candidates that all available scholarships have been awarded and are being withdrawn once the acceptance limit has been achieved.
- This scholarship is not available to students enrolled in research programs for higher degrees,non-award programs, online programs (campus = online), study abroad programs, Griffith English Language Institute English language programs, master’s qualifying programs, MBA programs (program code 5670), and part-time programs.
- Students cannot defer the scholarships.
- The recipients of this scholarship are likely to be in Griffith University’s marketing campaigns.
English Language Requirements
The university recognizes the following in-person English proficiency exams for regular admission to undergraduate, graduate, and research programs.
- IELTS
- TOEFL iBT
- PTE Academic
- ISLPR
Some degrees might only recognize specific English language assessments or need greater proficiency.
Receiving the Scholarship
- To be eligible, you must accept the scholarship and program offer by the deadline. The scholarship will be withdrawn if you don’t accept it by the deadline in your award letter.
- After you begin your studies at Griffith, the scholarship will be applied before each trimester’s census date, provided you continue to complete the enrollment conditions (see below). You must pay the remaining fees by the census date based on your enrollment.
Ongoing Enrolment Requirements
- To be eligible for and keep the scholarship, students must enrol full-time, make progress in their studies, fulfil the requirements of their program of study, and meet their student visa requirements unless credit prohibits full-time enrollment.
- Students must complete all courses for each trimester of their studies and move on to enrol in the following trimester to retain scholarship eligibility.
- To be eligible for tuition fee deductions the following year, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0-point grading system each year. The cumulative GPA is the sum of a student’s grades for each term of their program. Students who start in Trimester 1 will have their cumulative GPA reviewed at the end of Trimester 2, and those who begin in Trimester 2 or Trimester 3 will have their cumulative GPA reviewed after Trimester 1.
- Students must continue to enrol in the program for which they were offered the scholarship, as specified in the Griffith International Admissions Letter of Offer. A student’s scholarship money is non-refundable if they withdraw or cancel for any reason.
How to Apply
- Apply to Griffith University to enrol in an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- After receiving your offer letter, submit your scholarship application before the deadline. You’ll need your academic transcripts and a personal statement.
- A panel from the university will examine your application to see if you fulfil all the eligibility requirements. The school will notify you when they accept your application.
