Looking to make a life-changing decision? Consider Cornwall, a wonderful place to live and work. In particular, the field of adult social care is undergoing exciting changes, and we are seeking innovative professionals to help us create a “best-in-class” model. If you are a passionate and talented advocate of independence and reablement, with a person-centred approach to care, we want to hear from you. You value people's views and wishes, and are dedicated to making decisions that reflect their priorities. Moreover, you are resilient, determined, and trustworthy, welcoming feedback and challenges as opportunities for growth. You are committed to self-learning, keeping your knowledge and skills up-to-date, and working in accordance with national Professional Capability Frameworks. You enjoy sharing your information and expertise with others, helping your team members achieve their goals. If this sounds like you, we'd love to have you join our team.
We are partnering with our health colleagues to design a community intervention program, enabling us to work together within a multi-disciplinary context and share knowledge to achieve improved outcomes. We are excited about the opportunities that have arisen with the development of new pathways designed to safely discharge patients from the hospital. Through collaboration with our primary care networks, we are exploring innovative approaches to providing wrap-around care, ensuring that individuals can receive the support they need to remain safe and healthy in their homes, and stay connected to their community even at the end of their lives.
In response to the climate emergency, Cornwall has implemented a Net Zero carbon strategy that reflects our priorities. This summer, Carbis Bay in the western part of the county will host the G7 meeting, bringing together leaders from around the world to discuss important issues. However, we face a unique set of challenges as a popular holiday and retirement destination, with significant disparities between affluent individuals and those who rely on local food banks. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to promoting sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint, while also addressing the needs of all members of our community.
