Farmworkers play an important role in agriculture by planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, as well as raising livestock and poultry. They may also be responsible for maintaining and repairing farm equipment and buildings. Farmworkers typically work outdoors and may be exposed to various weather conditions.
M-V Live Bait of Canada is looking for a self-motivated and interpersonal farm worker to join our team. The selected candidate will be expected to start work immediately. This is a seasonal or full-time position depending on the candidate's availability.
What training is required?
- There are no specific education or training requirements. However, a college certificate or specialized courses related to farming, such as farm equipment mechanics, agricultural welding, tree pruning, and pesticide application, are available.
- Basic farm knowledge, usually obtained from working on a family farm, may be required for employment.
- A course or certificate in first aid will be required.
