iPhone X has been available for nearly one month, but we have started to hear some of the annoying things users are facing with Apple’s latest flagship phone. iPhone X includes a lot of changes that may be confusing to some folks. With that in mind, we believe that we can help you out.
In this tutorial, we have created a list of the best tips and tricks for your new iPhone X, so that you can get the most out of Apple’s new premium iPhone. 1. Tap to wake
With iPhone X, Apple removed the physical home button in favor of a curved display that covers almost the front of the device. This offers a premium look, but also creates some gestures. From now on, you can easily wake up your iPhone by tapping on the screen once. In reality, tap to wake feature is not something new out there, as it has been around on Android devices for years.
iPhone X also offers a new way of switching apps. All you need to do now is to swipe up and then right. Once you are in, just simply tap and hold on an app to enter force-quitting mode and then swipe up on the app you want to quit.
2. Face ID issues
Face ID ranks among the biggest changes of Apple’s iPhone series. Face ID marks the end of the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and opens the way for a more comprehensive security measure. However, a lot of iPhone X owners have reported that Face ID fails to work on their device, forcing them to enter the passcode.
There are several ways you can deal with the issue, but we recommend you turn off Require Attention feature. To do this, head to Settings > General > Accessibility > Face ID & Identification.
3. Turn on Reachability
Reachability has been available on iOS devices since the days of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Basically, the feature allows users to reach to content at the top of the screen. With iPhone X, Reachability works in a different way.
To turn on Reachability on your iPhone X, launch Settings > General > Accessibility > Reachability. Once you have enabled the feature, just simply flick down in the Home indicator area to pull down your home screen.
4. Animoji
Animoji is among the highlights of iPhone X. The new feature makes use of the device’s TrueDepth camera to analyze and mirror your expressions. You can easily create your own Animoji and share them with your friends and family via the Messages app.
Step one: Launch the Messages app and create a new message or head to an existing conversation
Step two: Hit the App icon next to the input field and then tap on the animoji icon (it looks like a monkey)
Step three: Select an animoji, then look into your device and hit the Record button.
5. Dark mode
iPhone and iPad owners have been dying for an official dark mode. Apple is fully aware of that and the company has added a feature called Smart Invert. Basically, Smart Invert is not a true dark mode, as it only inverts the user interface.
To enable Smart Invert on your iPhone X, launch Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors and turn on the switch for Smart Invert.
